Tango: Zero Hour

by Pigeon Malik

This takes the idea of tango and mixes it with modern classical to really increase the beauty level. Music that at first seems approachable, but then shies away from you. Music that demands your attention, but is equally willing to fade into the background.

It notably lacks a lot of the conventional tango groove that Piazolla's other works have, having more of a sense of urgency.

When I want something I can listen to while I work, but is still capable of making me feel something, this is the album I gravitate towards.
